We're thrilled to announce the distribution of scholarships among our 2024 Giovanni Vitrano Scholarship winners! This year, we were incredibly impressed by the caliber of all our applicants, students who excel in academics, soccer, and community service.

A Champion for Resilience: Martina Silva Takes Home $6,000 Grand Prize Scholarship

"It's good to know that my hard work on and off the field has paid off and will help me in the future. This money is a big help for college."

Martina Silva (Florida High)

The $6,000 scholarship is awarded to Martina Silva from Florida High School. Martina, born in Chile, embodies resilience and dedication. Despite navigating a new language and culture when she immigrated with her family, Martina boasts a stellar academic record with a 4.65 weighted GPA. Not only is she a member of numerous academic honor societies, but she's also actively involved in her community, volunteering at the Tallahassee Animal Shelter. On the soccer field, Martina is a force to be reckoned with. She's played for prestigious teams like Florida High Girls Soccer, Top of Florida, and Tottenham Hotspur.

A Natural Leader: Leon's Meghan Roper Claims $2,000 Scholarship.

"Meg has a strong sense of self that you don't often see in high school students. She isn't overly worried about reading the room, she just does what is right, and all with rare sense of confidence."

Meghan Roper, a Leon High School graduate and future Auburn University student, is awarded a $2,000 scholarship. Leading by example, Meghan overcame a learning challenge to achieve a strong academic record with a 3.6 GPA. Her leadership shines not only on the Leon soccer field as team captain but also in her dedication to various clubs and organizations, including serving as President of the Dance Marathon.

Celebrating Achievement: Lawre Bradley May Earns $2,000 Scholarship.

"Its means so much, soccer is such a huge part of my life...to know that out of this whole area, people have seen me as a significant part of the soccer culture means so much to me."

Lawre Bradley May (Maclay)

Lawre Bradley May from Maclay School is awarded a $2,000 scholarship. Lawre, who will attend Auburn University, is a multi-talented young person with a 4.52 GPA. Beyond academics, Lawre excels in athletics, participating in lacrosse, tennis, and cheerleading while also being a standout on the Maclay soccer team. Her commitment is further highlighted by her numerous awards, including the Scholar-Athlete Award, English Student of the Year, and History Student of the Year.
