The Giovanni Vitrano Foundation is thrilled to unveil our 2024 scholarship recipients, three exceptional young women whose remarkable achievements in soccer, academics, and community service have set them apart. This year, we’re proud to distribute $10,000 in scholarships: one grand prize of $6,000 and two runner-up awards of $2,000 each. The winners have not only demonstrated excellence on the field and in the classroom but also shared a glimpse into their personal lives, showcasing the diverse interests that make them unique.

Lawre Bradley May – Maclay School’s standout with a 4.52 GPA and future Auburn University student shines both in and outside of soccer. Beyond the field, Lawre finds joy in lifting, running, hiking, and indulging in her love for reading, ranging from mythology to thrillers. A lifelong pianist, she actively participates in her church, contributing to the food bank and ramp builds, embodying a spirit of community and personal growth.

Meghan Roper – Leon High School’s captain, heading to Auburn, has a 3.6 GPA and a deep commitment to the Dance Marathon, raising significant funds for children with pediatric illnesses. Meghan’s leadership and fundraising efforts demonstrate her compassion and drive to make a difference in the lives of others, underscoring her dedication to service beyond soccer.

Martina Silva – With a 4.65 GPA and applications to some of the nation’s top universities, Martina’s dedication extends beyond academia to her love for animals, leading her to volunteer at local animal shelters. Her creative side flourishes through crochet, embroidery, sculpting, and guitar playing, reflecting a balance between service, art, and personal passions.
